Hannover Travel Guide - Getting There

By air: Hannover Airport is about 16kms away from the city centre and provides regular flights to many European and Asian destinations. Facilities are quite limited at the airport, with a few small shops, a restaurant and bureaux de change.
Special assistance for those with disabilities can be provided upon request. There are a plenty of metered taxis waiting in front of the terminal to take you to the city. Trains depart from the airport to the city centre every 30 minutes, while buses also offer this journey.
By bus: the Central Bus Station is conveniently located behind the Central Railway Station. Buses run across the country and to many parts of Europe. There are also buses that serve international destinations such as London, Cardiff, Edinburgh, Barcelona, Madrid, Moscow, Prague, Copenhagen and Paris.
By car: Germany is famed for its excellent autobahn network that links the country. The city is best served by the A7 Hamburg to Kassel autobahn or the A2 Berlin to Dusseldorf autobahn.
