City sightseeing tour: touring the city on foot is highly recommended and embarking on a city sightseeing tour is guaranteed to be a memorable experience. Hannover has a 4,200 metres of red lines painted onto the pavement that leads to 36 different tourist attractions. It’s a great way to explore to the heart of the city and keep fit.
Nightlife: those into partying can find a number of places to spend their evenings. Hannover might not be the most popular place when it comes to clubbing, but there are bars, pubs and discos everywhere in the city. Alternatively, you can head to one of many beer gardens and dine al fresco on local cuisine such as dishes of sausages, sauerkraut and bratwurst.
Cycling: another great way to see the city is to cycle around it. Hannover has special bicycle routes that cover almost every part of the city, so cyclists can be sure that they can cycle peacefully without being disturbed by any cars.
Festival: if you are in the city between May and September, make sure you catch one of the annual International Firework Competition. It’s a dramatic competition that involves spectacular fireworks accompanied by a mix of music in the background.
