By air: located just eight miles south-west of the centre, the Frankfurt Airport is the largest airport on the European continent. Its two terminals, each featuring a number of shops, restaurants and amenities, serve passengers from 240 destinations.
By train: Frankfurt's main rail station ranks as the busiest in Europe, with more than 350,000 travellers passing through each day. Deutsche Bahn offers passengers a variety of service options that include high-speed InterCity Express (ICE) trains, connecting most cities in Germany; Eurocity (EC) trains, travelling cross-continent; and City Nightline (CNL) trains that make their way a bit more slowly through Germany at night.
By bus: Eurolines provides bus service to and from 800 cities in Europe and as it operates from Frankfurt's main rail station, the Hauptbahnhof, bus passengers are well-connected to regional train services as well.
