Herbst Dippemess: is the city’s fall festival, held in early September, featuring food, arts and crafts, rides and amusements. It’s similar in nature to the spring festival, but this time you can enjoy Frankfurt's famous apple wine and a spectacular fireworks display.

October/November Festivals
The Hessian Youth Film Festival: begins in the last week of October and extends through the first few days of November, highlighting the works of young videographers and filmmakers from Frankfurt and all around Germany. The Gallus Theater at Kaiserstrasse 56 is the venue for this showcase of new talent.

The Klangwelten World Music Festival: features performances at the Alte Oper, of world music and dance. The festival is held in late November.

Today, the entire centre of the old town is transformed into a lovely and festive marketplace, steeped in the scent of baked apples, gingerbread, roasted chestnuts and mulled wine. Features of this fair also include Christmas readings, Advent concerts, lots of arts and crafts and a visit by St Nicholas. A festively decorated 100ft-tall tree with twinkling lights dominates the Romerplatz during the Christmas season.
