Berlin Travel Guide - Getting Around

S-Bahn and U-Bahn: Berlin's train and underground rail networks as so seamlessly integrated that they actually operate as a single network. Services operate from 04:00 to midnight.
Tram: the tram system at one time existed only in what was East Berlin. Its network of around 30 lines still services only the eastern part of the city and is one of the few parts of the earlier infrastructure that remains today.
Bicycle: it’s clear as soon as you arrive in Berlin, particularly in the warmer months, that many locals remain committed to getting around by bicycle. Cyclists are everywhere and many visitors come to realise that getting around on two wheels is the best way to enjoy the city. Bicycles can be taken along with you on public transport.
