The restaurant reflects the medieval history of the hotel, with its beautiful wood panelling and carvings, murals and solid wooden furniture.

The lobby is very small, with a hatch in the wall instead of a desk. It is very atmospheric, and in typical traditional rothenburg style.

Rebuilt after its partial destruction in 1945, the hotel has managed to maintain its historically famous 'inn' style. It certainly cannot be mistaken with its bright yellow exterior and red and white striped shutters.
