Introduction to Waging am See, Germany
In Germany's southern region of Bavaria is the lake town of Waging am See, known mainly for its location on Waginger Lake, which is Upper Bavaria's warmest body of fresh water. With temperatures hitting 80°F in the summer, Waginger Lake is a popular place for locals to swim, enjoy water sports and lounge around. Waging am See also has a reputation as a spa town, with several hydropathic resorts along the lake and in the area. Visitors come here primarily to take advantage of the wealth of outdoor recreation, especially in the warmer months. Mountain biking, trekking, hiking, sailing, golf and many other activities are available in and around the town and its large lake. There's even a bit of culture on hand at Bajuwaren Museum, which is dedicated to the life and culture of ancient Bavarians. Plenty of useful infrastructure is on hand, including dozens of campsites and hotels in Waging am See. Restaurants, bars and practical shops help to keep tourists supplied and content during their visit. other spellings: waging am seehotels, vaging am see hotell, weging am see otel, wajing am see hote
