Introduction to Stuttgart - Airport
Stuttgart Airport is situated just 13kms south of the city centre of Germany's eighth most populated city. In 2010, this airport's four terminals greeted more than nine million passengers headed to or from over 100 destinations throughout Europe and North America. This airport ranks among Europe's 40 busiest and includes no fewer than 30 travel agencies, 30 shops, 20 places to eat and two banks. An office for lost property, ATMs, a post office and information desks with multilingual staff are among the airport's other amenities. Although there are no Stuttgart Airport hotels located directly on airport property, there is a hotel situated next door to it, to which passengers can travel by free shuttle bus. The airport's general aviation terminal offers guided helicopter tours of Stuttgart and its surrounding area.
