Schlosshotel Kronberg - Kronberg im Taunus

The Schlosshotel Kronberg is housed in a magnificent castle and is located right next to an 18-hole golf course. Guests will find delightful attractions within easy reach of the hotel such as Victoria Park, Taunus, and a tourist favourite, Opel Zoo. Just a short drive away are Wiesbaden, Mainz, and Frankfurt. The restaurant is one of the most beautiful rooms in the hotel, decorated in traditional style. Here there is also a high, wood-panelled ceiling. Wine from the hotel's own vineyard is served here. Also there is an American bar, which is styled in keeping with the rest of the hotel and boasts Germany's only painting by Turner.

This is a beautiful old castle, built between 1889 and 1894 by the Empress Frederick, daughter of Queen Victoria, who lived there until her death in 1901.
