Bavaria's second-busiest airport serves the large Germany city of Nuremberg with international and domestic flights from all over Germany, Europe and other major global cities. Located just five kilometres from the centre of the city, travellers can get to the downtown using the Metro, bus system, taxis or rental cars. Three passenger terminals are linked together, each containing a full range of amenities, including several places to eat, drink, shop and pick up duty-free items. The Observation Deck is open 24 hours a day, offering the best views of air traffic. Several VIP lounges are on hand in the two departure terminals for passengers who want extra privacy and comfort. There are no hotels at Nuremberg Airport, but since the terminal is so close to the city itself, visitors will have no problem getting to their flight quickly. As the airport is the base for Air Berlin, Germany's second-largest carrier, there is always a healthy selection of flights in and around the country.
