Munich West is the name given to the area around Memmingham Airport by the various low-cost airlines operating out of the facility. Located in Bavaria, 100kms from Munich, Memmingen old town is famous for its medieval castles, mansions, palaces and fortifications, all in excellent preserved condition. The town and its Munich West hotels are popular with tourists arriving for a glimpse of the medieval city with its walls and 10 towered city gates, unspoilt by post-war developments.
