Introduction to Koblenz, Germany
The city of Koblenz is one of the biggest cities in the Rhineland-Palatinate region of western Germany. Travellers can get to Koblenz hotels by flying to one of three nearby airports; Frankfurt, Frankfurt-Hahn or Cologne-Bonn. From Frankfurt and Cologne, there are regular trains which take between one and two hours. German Corner (Deutsches Eck) is one of the city's prettiest spots. Located where the River Mosel and the River Rhine meet, the park at German Corner offers magnificent riverside views as well as views of the fort across the Rhine. Every August, the annual Rhine in Flames festival takes place at German Corner, incorporating fireworks and concerts. The well-preserved Festung Ehrenbreitstein fort hosts a museum and offers even more fantastic views of Koblenz. Those who are passionate about museums should visit in September, when the Night of the Museums event takes place. On this night, all museums are open until midnight, while special buses ferry passengers between places of interest. In the evenings, the city is a great place for drinking. It is well known for its dry wines and bitter local beers.other spellings: koblenzhotels, koblens otel, koblanz hotell, koblence hote, coblenz hotes, coblence
