Introduction to Kleinbartloff, Germany
Set on the edge of a forest in the Eichsfeld district of the German state of Thuringia, the tiny village of Kleinbartloff faces fertile agricultural fields and is backed by trees. It's surrounded by other tiny villages, scattered around the undulating countryside, and is a good place for getting away from reminders of the 21st century. Nature-lovers and outdoor sports enthusiasts will enjoy the walks and hiking trails across the countryside, and those looking for peace, quiet and stress-busting won't be disappointed. Anyone who manages to locate Kleinbartloff will be rewarded by picturesque white-painted, red-roofed half-timbered buildings nestling in orchards and around the village green. Kleinbartloff hotels are represented by just one hostelry, recently modernised but retaining its charm. Originally founded as a monastery, the village grew up around the church until 1803, when the religious buildings were demolished by decree of the Prussian emperor. other spellings: kleinbartloffhotels, klienbartloff hotell, kleinbratloff otel, kleinbartlof hote
