Introduction to Kempten, Germany
In Germany’s south, near the border with Austria, is the city of Kempten a very old city brimming with ancient traditions and a rich culture. Located on the banks of the Iller River, Kempten has some pretty natural areas as well as large historical areas, all of which are close to hotels in Kempten. Most Kempten hotels are located on the eastern banks of the Iller River, close to shopping facilities, old churches, city squares and the city hall. These hotels in Kempten are three and four star rates, offering spacious modern rooms and an abundance of facilities for their guests. There are also guesthouses for those on a tighter budget, or who want to experience the local culture a little more. The western banks of the river have fewer Kempten hotels, which are farther away from the town centre but close to Cambodunumpark, an archaeological park which is open for the public to learn about Germany’s oldest city.
