Introduction to Karlsruhe, Germany
Karlsruhe is a town in the German state of Baden Wurttemberg. Karlsruhe is in southwest Germany and is scenically located on the west banks of the River Rhine. The majestic 18th century Karlsruhe Palace, behind the large Sclossplatz, is the focal point of Karlsruhe. There are a number of Karlsruhe hotels in the immediate environs of the palace. Further away from the palace, and also in the town centre, are more Karlsruhe hotels and B&Bs. Karlsruhe possesses a diverse selection of cafes and restaurants which are dotted all over the city. The town boasts numerous tourist draws all within walking distance of the city Karlsruhe hotels. The Kleine Kirche (Little Church), Rondellplatz and the palace are popular tourist sights. There is a museum in front of the palace. The Stadtgarten is a pleasant public park containing Karlsruhe Zoo.
