Introduction to Hamburg - Hamm
Hamm is a typical industrial city in the North Rhine-Westphalia region of Germany. Its railway station is one of the more famous in the country, both for its impressive architecture and its importance as a hub of transportation. Hamm has a long history, with a number of lovely medieval buildings in and around its central core. Among its historic highlights is Oberwerries Castle, a Baroque structure surrounded by a moat, Castle Ermelinghof with its impressive bell tower and Stuniken House, the oldest building in Hamm. All of these interesting sites are open to the public, as is Europe's biggest Hindu temple, Sri Kamadchi Ampal. Head to Maximillian Park for fun with the kids or check out the Meile district for an exciting night at the bars. Hamm hotels features both international chains and independent lodging in every corner of the city. The public transportation here is excellent, making it easy to get to all the attractions from any part of town.Visit our Hamburg Travel Guide
