Introduction to Dusseldorf - Golzheim & Morsenbroich
Golzheim and Morsenbroich are two adjacent districts on the south side of Dusseldorf International Airport. The districts are only two kilometres north of the legendary wining and dining establishments contained within the city's historic Altstadt, or Old Town district. Stations on the public transport network link Morsenbroich to both the Altstadt and the airport. The two districts are home to many Golzheim Morsenbroich hotels as well as a great choice of restaurants and cafes. Local Altbier ale and wurst (sausages) are among the specialities served. On the west side of Golzheim, the right bank of the River Rhine is the location of the Kunst Palast Museum and Rheinpark. The museum's galleries house vast collections of antiquities, such as Italian Baroque graphics and glassware. The park is a huge expanse of tree-shaded meadows that are popular with strollers and sports enthusiasts. The 40-acre Grafenberg Forest abuts Morsenbroich and is criss-crossed by hiking paths. Wildlife here includes red deer and wild boars.Visit our Dusseldorf Travel Guide
