Introduction to Dresden - Neustadt
The city of Dresden, in Germany’s Saxony region, is filled with amazing structures and worthwhile landmarks. The Neustadt area is located to the north of the Elbe River, no more than a few kilometres from the city centre. There are plenty of Neustadt hotels within the area, making it possible for travellers to stay outside the tourist-centred Altstadt, or Old Town. The attractions that make the city of Dresden so desirable are only a short distance from Neustadt, or New Town. The Eric Kastner Museum is found within the district and there is an interesting market place just to the east of the area’s main train station. The world famous Elbe Valley area, which lost its World Heritage status due to new motorway, is within easy reach of the this district of Dresden.
