Introduction to Dortmund, Germany
Dortmund is a large city on the west side of Germany close to the Dutch border. The Ruhr River flows south of the city and the Dortmund Ems Canal goes from Dortmund to the North Sea. Hotels in Dortmund are spread around the city. The mediaeval city walls have been replaced by a ring road, but the old inner still remains and features many churches with steeples that dominate the city’s skyline.
