Introduction to Bremen - Bremerhaven
The seaport town of Bremerhaven is an important trading post in Germany, but it also makes for a great holiday destination. Part of the city-state of Bremen, Bremerhaven can be found along the coast of the North Sea, at the mouth of the River Weser, and acts as a gateway to the popular Helgoland. This island is a duty-free zone and popular with day-trippers looking for a holiday bargain. Within Bremerhaven itself are some great attractions, such as the Schifffahrtsmusem (Maritime Museum), which houses a submarine and a ship that date back to 1380. Ship lovers will also enjoy walking around the massive harbour, which is filled with large container ships and sail boats. The zoo is well worth visiting and features Arctic wildlife and the popular simulated ride of Klimahaus (Climate House). A number of Bremerhaven hotels can be found throughout the town, many of which boast great views of the river and the sea.other spellings: bremer haven otel, bremerhoven hotell, bermerhaven hote, bremurhaven hotles, brimerhaven
