With panoramic views of the surrounding Alps, the Best Western Hotel Obermuehle is an attractive Bavarian resort 20 minutes on foot from the main train station in the centre of Garmisch Partenkirchen. Ettal Abbey and Eibess Lake are 15 minutes by car, while the Austrian border can be reached in 5 minutes. The building has two wings, the main (older) one being in traditional bavarian style with a sloping roof and flower lined wooden balconies. The other wing is more modern, but is also bavarian in style.
