Things to do in French Polynesia
Bora Bora - take a tour to Bora Bora Lagoonarium
The aquarium at Bora Bora is unlike any other you will visit and its name the “Lagoonarium” should give you a clue as to why. The aquarium is actually a beautiful lagoon where you have the opportunity to see all the site has to offer from rays and sharks to small coral fish. There are experienced guides on site to help make your experience more enjoyable and ensure your safety.
Bora Bora - discover an underwater fauna at coral garden
The island of Bora Bora is one of the most beautiful islands in the French Polynesian chain and is renowned for its beautiful waters and stunning underwater landscapes of coral and rock formations. The clear waters allow for easy viewing of the many fish and corals of the region with many snorkelling opportunities, one of the better sites being the Coral Garden. The area is also renowned for world class SCUBA diving.
Moorea - tour around the island
The island of Moorea is also known as Tahiti’s little sister but has so much to offer you are often left with places unexplored. The most popular start to a holiday is to take a day’s tour around the costal road of the island and see the blues of the ocean on one side and the green of lush vegetation on the other. The interior of the island is a mountain that offers hiking, mountain biking and waterfalls. The beaches are beautiful and not crowded with the waters clear and teeming with life.
Rangiroa - dive with the sharks at Tiputa Pass
Ask any diver what they want to see on a dive and the answer will nearly always be sharks and diving. Tiputa Pass is acknowledged as being the best shark diving site in the world. All kinds of sharks can be seen, some just metres away. The best time to go is between December and March, when mating Hammerheads come past in their thousands. Diving at Tiputa Pass is only for very experienced divers due to the currents, but there are plenty of other sites in the area to see sharks for the less experienced.
