By air: Nice Cote d’Azur Airport is one of the busiest in France and used by many major airlines. There is a choice of routes to plenty of European countries as well as several other international destinations. The airport has two terminals with a free shuttle bus connecting them. It is just four miles from the city and there are regular buses for the short transfer. Taxis are also available from the forecourt outside of the terminal buildings.
By rail: travelling to other French cities by rail is easy with the high-speed TGV. The journey time from Paris aboard a TGV train is just six hours and there are also services from Lyon and Marseille. Gare SNCF is situated to the northwest of the city centre.
By bus: Eurolines provides an extensive long distance bus service throughout Europe including Nice. Journey times can be long but tickets are generally cheap. The bus station is located at 5 boulevard Jean Jaures.
By ferry: the only ferries that sail to Nice are from locations on the nearby island of Corsica. The port is on the eastern side of the city and can be reached by taking a bus.
