There is also a regular TGV service to Nice which takes two hours. A number of slower trains operate to destinations along the Cote d’Azur and throughout the region.
By bus: long distance buses are available from several European destinations and are a convenient and cheap way to travel. During the winter there is also a ‘Snow Shuttle’ coach service which operates to some of the best ski resorts in the southern French Alps.
By ferry: Marseille has two passenger ferry terminals, one at Place de la Joliette and the other at the end of Boulevard des Dames. There are regular ferry services to and from ports in Corsica, Sardinia, Tunis and Algiers, operated by SNCM Ferries.
