Pic de Jer: enjoys an impressive location above fragrant pines and 933 metres above sea level. To get there you need to hop on the Pic de Jer Funicular, an old-school chair-lift. Grotto de Massabiele: is one of the main attractions in Lourdes, regularly visited by a number of devout pilgrims praying for a miracle cure. It is this place where the Virgin Mary is said to have appeared to Bernadette, a local girl 18 times in 1858. Miraculous Spring: legend has it that the spring miraculously spouted during Bernadette’s ninth vision of the Virgin Mary. A drink from this spring is believed to bring good fortune.
