Beach: the beach is the ideal place to soak up some sun, keep an eye out for celebrity visitors or get involved with some more energetic activity such as windsurfing or water skiing. Scuba diving is also popular. If you’re looking for a fitness session, many hotels arrange beach-side sessions for their guests.
Rue d'Antibes: walking along this fashionable street, you’ll find most of the city’s cinemas, and shops of all types - from the eastern edge to rue Felix Faure at Cannes’ port. Many clothing boutiques and gift shops offering quality merchandise line the way.
Boulevard de la Croisette: art galleries predominate along Cannes’ most famous boulevard and the many side streets leading off it. Jewellers and shops housing the most exclusive clothiers are also a feature. If you're not travelling on a budget, it’s likely you’ll be staying here as well.
Zone Pietonne (walking street): running parallel to the port, rue Meynadier is just one block in from rue Felix Faure. It’s roughly six blocks long and filled with fresh produce and meat markets and shops offering clothing, groceries and gifts. A Pier One Imports shop is located here, featuring an array of household and gift items.
At the west end of the covered area, you’ll find a flower market. On Mondays, this turns into another Marche Brocante (flea market). Place Gambetta is a smaller daily market situated under a covered area in the centre of the square, one block north of rue d’Antibes and a couple of blocks east of the Cannes train station.
