Introduction to Villeneuve Loubet, France

Villeneuve Loubet is a town in southeastern France's Provence-Alpes-Cote d'Azur region. This interesting town is full of steep sloping streets, colourful facades and flower-decorated balconies. The Old Town stands on a hill at the north end of the town and has several historical buildings to visit. Here, you can see the large church, built in the 15th century, with its beautiful square bell tower. The 13th century castle stands behind high walls and is surrounded by a large area of grounds, yet all that can be viewed from outside the grounds is the top of the 33-metre high watchtower. The New Town stretches all the way down to the Mediterranean Sea where there are four kilometres of beaches. There is a number of Villenueve Loubet hotels located in the centre of the town as well as on the main Avenue des Plans which leads down to the beach. Plenty of leisure facilities are provided in Villeneuve Loubet, such as marked cycling zones and walking paths. Every Sunday, there is an antiques flea market.
