Introduction to Valfrejus, France

Valfrejus is one of the most modern resorts in France, being built just 15 years ago. The resort is full of beautiful wooden chalets and snow-white mountains with a vast skiable area, both on and off-piste. There are a number of Valfrejus hotels in the centre of the resort which are ideally located for reaching the slopes. Another benefit of the resort is its relative proximity to Turin, which is roughly two hours away by car, making it an easily reachable destination. Valfrejus is 1,550 metres above sea level and lies in the stunning Maurienne Valley. The terrain offers an impressive variety, with 20 pistes that spread for 52kms. It is ideal for beginners but also provides slopes for intermediates and experts. This modern picturesque resort offers many leisure and entertainment facilities for its visitors. The apres-ski scene boasts a friendly atmosphere coupled with traditional spirit. There are a number of charming small restaurants which serve up international cuisine and local specialities, and several lively bars in which to relax in after a long day's skiing.
