The suburb of Chambray-les-Tours is filled with green open spaces, footpaths and bicycle trails, and is an ideal place to use as a base for exploring the large city of Tours. Found just south of the city centre, on the opposite side of the Cher River, Chambray-les-Tours is home to the Francois Rabelais University and the Municipal School of Music, both of which are esteemed music academies.
