Introduction to Tours - Amboise
Without a doubt one of the most striking towns of the Loire Valley is Amboise, famed for its incredible 15th century chateau. Nestled between the Loire and the L'Amasse Rivers, Amboise's location is as picturesque as it gets in France. The entire valley just outside of Tours is famous for its wine and historic chateaus, which offer visitors plenty of distraction outside of the town itself. The iconic Chateau is the star attraction here. Visitors can walk its gardens, explore many of its furnished rooms and marvel at sites like the tomb of Leonardo Da Vinci. During summer, the castle puts on light and sound shows every night. Luce Castle and the Parc Leonardo da Vinci is another highlight, featuring around 50 of the master's artwork in a fantastic setting. The Pagode de Chanteloup offers unbeatable views over the Loire Valley and a great picnic spot. Amboise hotels are scattered around the village, offering easy walking to the castle and many of the other highlights.other spellings: amboisehotels, otel amboise, hotellin amboise, amboise hote, amboise hotes
