Introduction to Tours - Airport
Tours is located along France's River Loire, and the Tours Val de Loire Airport can be found six kilometres northeast of the city. It is a popular destination for wine lovers, as wine regions surround it, and the airport services regular daily flights from a number of cities throughout Europe, as well as Morocco and Tunisia. Ryanair is currently the only carrier that operates out of the airport and, as a result, many flights also arrive here via London Stansted. There is a restaurant and a boutique on-site for the use of passengers travelling through, as well as free parking in its adjacent car park. A few good Tours Airport hotels can be found here, which are ideal for those needing to spend a night close to the airport. A shuttle bus is also available to take travellers from the airport directly into the city and vice versa. There are also taxi services and four rental car companies on-site.
