Introduction to Saint Malo - Beach
Saint Malo is a historic walled port city located in the famous French region of Brittany. The city’s main historic centre, where the majority of the main tourist attractions are located, is situated around Saint Malo Beach. The beach, with its wide array of historic sites, has made the city the most visited destination in Brittany. The imposing wall around the city runs right next to the beach, and is not only a popular attraction in its own right, but it also provides a popular place from which to enjoy the ocean views. Just next to the beach are some of the city’s most historical buildings, including the Cathedral of St Vincent and the city’s chateau, which now serves as the main museum. The Privateer’s House is another great museum that highlights the city’s seafaring traditions.
