A thriving student town with excellent bars and a happening nightlife, Rennes is a smaller French destination that is very popular with summer tourists. Rennes hotels are clustered in the area north of the main railway station, but this shouldn’t stop more intrepid travellers seeking out accommodations elsewhere in town. The youth hostel near the river is an excellent budget choice that is surprisingly clean and modern - it’s the pick of Rennes hotels for many regular visitors.
