Introduction to Reims, France
The city of champagne, Reims is also the home to a grand cathedral where the kings of France were crowned for many centuries. The town’s showpiece cathedral is said by many to be the French equivalent to Westminster Abbey. A particularly ornate town full of pride and history, Reims is a deservedly popular town with travellers from all over the world. Veuve Cliquot, Taittinger and Piper Heidsieck are some of the famous champagne houses of Reims and Reims hotels invariably include bubbly bars, where you can sample the local produce by the glass or by the bottle.
