Introduction to Pornic, France

The township of Pornic is part of western France's Loire Atlantique department. It is nestled by the seaside, with its location offering absolutely spectacular scenes for tourists to enjoy. The town contains a population of about 14,000 residents, and even though it receives few international tourists throughout the year, crowds of French travellers can be seen in the commune on a regular basis. Pornic hotels are located in the city centre and close to the seaside. One of the main sightseeing attractions in the town is its castle. Standing beside the sea, the Castle of Pornic is a beautiful medieval structure that offers visitors a taste of untouched history. In addition to the castle, the centre of town has a number of wonderful historic buildings, and a short walk or tourist train ride through the main area is a great way to experience the beauty of the settlement. There is a swimming beach found close to the town centre, too. Trains connect the town to Nantes several times daily.
