Despite the town having fewer than 400 residents, there are an impressive number of hotels in Mooslargue. This is likely explained by the 18-hole golf course nearby, which is a huge attraction in the area. The town sits in the Haut-Rhin department of France's Alsace region, almost literally on the border with Switzerland, which is just one mile away. The town of Liebsdorf, five kilometres to the south, is home to a pretty church. It is also just up the road from a scenic lake. The hills that run north from the town contain fortified tunnels and caves in which soldiers hid during WWI. Fine vistas can be enjoyed from the tops of the hills. For the best selection of restaurants, bars and cafes nearby, head to Pfetterhouse or Seppois-le-Bas, both less than 10 minutes away by car. Basel in Switzerland can be reached in about 45 minutes. The closest French railway station is at Carspach, some 20 minutes to the north by car. Mulhouse and the E54 Euroroute are both less than an hour away.
