Introduction to Montreal, France
Sitting in southwest France, in the department of Gers, is the historic and picturesque town of Montreal. The environment has been kind to this town, and the surrounding countryside lends it the label of the 'Tuscany of France'. The summers here are long and warm while winters are short and warm. Though the town offers a rich variety of historic sights, the region at large provides a luxurious range of fine wines and tasty cuisine. From hotels in Montreal, visitors can easily visit the 4th century Gallo-Roman villa of Seviac, which contains a Roman tile mosaic, as well as the ruins of Chateau de Balarain, and the Beon dinosaur site, one of the biggest paleontology sites in Europe. Interesting religious buildings include the 13th century Gothic St Mary's Church, which towers over the town and the ruins of the Romanesque Church of Genena, about two kilometres south of town. A tourist train runs from Mezin, 20 minutes away, but connecting with modern rail services requires an hour-long drive to Agen. The E72 Euroroute runs close to Agen, 40kms to the northeast.other spellings: montrheairhotels, montrer otel, montleail hotell, montreer hote, montleair hotle
