Introduction to Molsheim, France

Molsheim is a small town close to Strasbourg, in the northeast of France. It is located in the region of Alsace and has a population of roughly 10,000 inhabitants. The Old Town is well-preserved and has large number of old buildings and houses of Alsatian architecture, with the most notable being the medieval styled Tour des Forgerons, the Gothic styled Jesuit Church and the beautiful Town Hall. This historic town also boasts the Metzig, a fascinating building which represents the Renaissance in Molsheim. Sitting opposite the Town Hall, its main facade is decorated with a double staircase and a bulbous turret where the clock strikes on the hour. Many Molsheim hotels are located in the heart of the town, within just a few minutes' walk of the main attractions. There are also a number of recommended restaurants and lively bars where you can relax after a long day's sightseeing.
