Mercure Cabourg Hotel Hippodrome - France

The Mercure Cabourg Hotel Hippodrome is located on the southern outskirts of the town, around 1.5kms from the seafront and next to the local horse racing track. The hotel’s excellent restaurant, Le Bistrot 50, offers views of the racetrack from its outdoor terrace. However, it is only open during the summer months. The hotel offers a range of rooms, from standard doubles for couples, to duplex rooms and 2 room suites for larger groups. It’s worth noting that there’s no lift to rooms on the first floor. Away from the hotel, the town’s beaches are among the prettiest in the region and home to a fine sailing school. Historians, however, will be keener to discover the sites of the Normandy landings, around 60kms from the premises.

The colourful hotel restaurant, completely renovated in 2002, has a beautiful view on the racecourse. It is tastefully decorated in warm shades of maroon, yellow and orange. It serves a varied menu inspired by the cuisine of Provence and Italy. During the summer, clients can enjoy their meals in the terrace.PLEASE NOTE: THE HOTEL RESTAURANT IS USUALLY CLOSED in JANUARY.

The welcoming medium-sized lobby opens onto a spacious and nice bar area whose main feature is a modern fireplace standing in the centre of the room.
