Introduction to Marseille - La Corniche
As France’s most populated city and largest port in the Mediterranean, Marseille offers more hotels in Marseille La Corniche than almost anywhere else in the nation. It is officially named John F Kennedy Avenue and travels along the scenic surrounding cliffs towards the city’s famous Monument aux Morts des Orients before ending at the city’s main beach, Plage du Predo. In between, visitors will encounter another beach, Plage des Catalans, and the Anse des Auffes inlet where small fishing boats frequently sail. Not far from Plage du Predo lies one of the best green spaces in Marseille, Parc Borely. This park includes a botanical garden, a lake for boating, gardens filled with fragrant roses, and even palm trees. The nearby Malmousque peninsula is dotted with tiny beaches and bays whose waters provide ideal swimming conditions on calm days, and listening to the fishermen sell their catch in Marseille’s Vieux Port is a fascinating activity in itself.Visit our Marseille Travel Guide
