The Marbella Hotel Biarritz is located on the narrow Rue de Port Vieux, in the centre of the old port district. Rooms in this three star lodging are small but clean, conveniently located for younger travellers enjoying the bars, cafes and restaurants on the street outside. More mature travellers should not be dissuaded from staying here, however, since Biarritz nightlife is fairly tame and usually shuts down around 00:30. Not all rooms have sea views or balconies, but they do all come with satellite TV and free wireless internet. Those staying in rooms without sea views needn’t worry, since the old port beach is just a minute’s walk away, as are the cliff top walking trails. The area is much quieter than the main ’Grand Plage’ beach, which is around 10 minutes’ walk away.
