In 2000, both the larger of the two airports serving the city of Lyon, France, and its rail station were renamed after one of its most famous native sons, aviator and author Antoine de Saint-Exupery. There are some Lyon Airport hotels on the property of this airport formally called Lyon-Saint Exupery Airport, located 20kms southeast of the city in the community of Colombier-Saugnieu. In France, only Nice Cote d'Azur Airport and the two biggest Paris airports greet more passengers than this one, which over seven-and-a-half million people passing through in 2009. One main hall connects the airport's two terminals, each of which has two floors. Terminal 1 only handles domestic flights, while international departures and arrivals are served by Terminal 2. The main hall and the second floor of both terminals contain most amenities, but the ground floor of Terminal 1 includes an ATM machine.
