Situated in the northeast of France, close to Paris, La Roche Guyon is a small town with just 500 inhabitants, but with plenty of attractions to keep many times more tourists content. The undoubted highlight of the town is the chateau, around which the town was originally formed. The structure was built in the 12th century to oversee a crossing over the River Seine en route to Normandy. It sits atop a small hill that is surrounded by plants and trees, with good views of the town and river below.
