Introduction to Dinard - City Centre

Dinard is a small resort town on Brittany's Emerald Coast, close to Pleurtuit and Saint-Malo. There are four main beaches around the city centre benefiting from the warm breezes off the Gulf Stream. The town's nickname 'Cannes of the North' has attracted a number of stars through the years, and this upscale clientele is reflected in the luxurious Dinard City Centre hotels and beachside villas that line the Malouine coast. Despite a number of bars, nightclubs and a casino, Dinard's nightlife is not particularly renowned - which can be seen as a blessing by those coming to relax with sun and sea. There are farmers' markets on most days of the week, monthly antique fairs and the annual Festival of British Cinema every October. There are a few historic buildings in the city centre, including a crypt in the town chapel, a 14th century house called Prince Noir, and a couple of beautiful manors and villas.
