Introduction to Dampierre sur Salon, France
Situated in the east of France, towards the borders with Switzerland and Germany in the department of Haute-Saone, Dampierre Sur Salon is a small French town with little more than 1,000 inhabitants, with its population having not increased in more than 150 years. Despite its size, this is a charming place. The Town Hall is a striking building dating back to the start of the 19th century but the most famous architecture here is related to Charles Maurice Couyba, probably the most famous past resident who was a government minister at the start of the 20th century as well as poet and the one-time local mayor. His house has been preserved for posterity and visitors alike, and there is a statue of the man in the centre of town. Dampierre Sur Salon hotels are hardly available in abundance as is to be expected given the town's small size, but a few can be found on Alfred Domier Road.other spellings: dampierre sur salonhotels, dampiere ser salon otel, dampier-sur-salon hotell
