Known as the 'Island of Beauty', Corsica is famous for its hills, stunning beaches and mountainous interior. A vacation in the village of Calcatoggio is sure to be a rewarding one. Located 300 metres above sea level in the picturesque Canarca Valley, Calcatoggio stretches all the way to the sea, where the stunning Liscia Beach can be found. The beach, the main draw here, boasts a stunning background of Corsica's hilly interior. Most Calcatoggio hotels are located here, although a few basic accommodations can be found in the town centre. The Torra d'Ancone is a must-see and one of France's Official Historic Monuments. A walking trip through the Massif de Sant makes for a pleasant daytime activity. The city of Ajacco can be found just 30kms south of Calcatoggio and a trip here is recommended.
