Introduction to Colmar - City Centre
Colmar is a major city in France’s north-eastern region of Alcase. The city has a unique atmosphere thanks to its geographical location on the border between France and Germany. One of the most beautiful parts of Colmar is the area known as Little Venice. Little Venice is situated in the city centre, down on the Lauch River where the canals cross. This area retains some of its original architecture from before the French Revolution. A number of historic Colmar hotels can be found in this part of Colmar. Some of the Colmar hotels along the Rue de Tete in the city centre are even as being historic monuments themselves. A number of bars and clubs are found around the Place de la Gare area. There is also an abundance of Colmar hotels in this area. However, given the number of bars, it can sometimes be hard to get a quiet night sleep here, especially on weekends.
