The Chateau Hotel de Candie Chambery is a romantic old castle offering en suite rooms and apartments variously furnished in antique or modern style. The restaurant is pricey but excellent, and peace and quiet predominates. Chambery Airport is 5kms away, with historic Chambery town and its rail station 10 minutes drive from the chateau. The A43 autoroute gives access from exit 15. Lyon and Geneva are an hour away by car, and Grenoble and Annency can be reached within 35 minutes. Rooms in the main chateau have lovely views, but those in the annex don’t quite have the same ambience.
