The Chateau De Marcay Hotel Chinon grounds were first the location of an 11th century fortress before a 15th century castle was built on the ruins. This impressive Loire Valley castle in the village of Marcay has been an intimate hotel since 1973. Guests may either stay at any of the 26 rooms in the hotel’s main building, or the 7 rooms of the Vine Pavilion inside one of the castle dependencies. The Vine Pavilion rooms face the castle vineyards, while the main building rooms face either the central courtyard or the castle’s extensive parkland and gardens. All of these views are breathtaking and all of the guestrooms are furnished with unique haute epoque decor and traditional upholstery. Not only can guests enjoy gourmet French meals at the castle restaurant, they can also take cooking lessons from the head chef.

The elegant restaurant consists of two dining rooms and offers a menu of refined French traditional dishes. In the summer season, dinner can be served outside in the terrace where clients can enjoy an astounding view of the 'la Vienne' valley.
