Aime is one of four communes that make up La Plagne ski resort which covers a vast skiing area of around 100kms². There are two cable cars that connect Plagne Centre with Aime La Plagne and of the 134 slopes in total, the majority of which are blue and red runs. Aime hotels are in the highest position of all the resorts, meaning that skiers can work their way down through the valley. Being close to Chamonix Mont Blanc, there is also a whole range of activities to take part in. The landscape is well suited to extreme sports, especially rock and ice climbing and canyoning, or more leisurely hikes are available in the summer months. The best views of the area can be seen while taking the Aiguille du Midi cable car, which used to be the world's highest, climbing a dizzying distance as it ascends all the way from 1035m up to 3810m.
